EGIS quits X

As scientists, we are obligated to be balanced, inquisitive, and to pursue truth using non-aggravating/discriminatory tools. Our pursuit of objective truths (regardless of field of science) encourages a dynamic exchange of information and emergence of friendly disagreements that should lead to ultimate objectivity. We note that the X platform is currently positioning itself far from these values. Instead of providing truthful information and promoting unity across borders, religions, cultures, and different scientific fields, X continues misinformation across its thematic domains and promotes a questionable discourse with strong political undertones. By acclamation, EGIS has decided to shut down the X account by January 31, 2025. It is important to us to communicate this decision to our friends/ colleagues/ followers. We encourage everyone to consider following us on “BlueSky”.
